About Us

Mondo Africa is a registered association founded in 2021, with the aim of identifying and helping vulnerable populations of African migrants in Italy and promoting development opportunities across the African continent. Mondo Africa was founded by Madame Heliane Guilavogui, the current president of the organization.

Madame Heliane Guilavogui, observing the association landscape in Palermo, noticed the presence of several nationality-specific migrant associations and identified an opportunity: to create an organization that would unite all Africans in the city. Her vision was focused on creating an association that could unite people from different parts of Africa, thus contributing to the creation of a supportive and inclusive community.

The association was also founded to provide support and advocacy to migrants from less represented African nations.
